Samuel is a Ivory Coast national, but was born in Yongsan when his parents immigrated to Korea. Samuel, who attended Osan Middle School, Seoul's U-15 team, caught the eyes of his coaches and took the tryouts, joined the Seoul Youth Team, and started his soccer career by going to Osan High School.
Samuel was nominated first to Seoul in October last year and entered the first team stage under the "home-grateful" system. The home-grateful system is a rule that a foreign national player who has been a member of a domestic team registered with the Korea Football Association for more than five years or three years until the age of 18 and who has been active for more than three years will be eligible for the same qualification as a Korean national player if he signs his first professional team contract with a K-League club.
Samuel, who officially became a first-team player in Seoul, participated in the official training held at GS Champions Park in Guri on the 3rd. Samuel conducted Rondo training, which exchanged passes with key players such as Ki Sung-yueng, Kim Jin-soo, Jung Seung-won and Moon Sun-min, and completed his first official training with an active appearance.
During the interview after the training, Samuel said, "It is an honor to be trained with good brothers. I will spend a lot of time together. I will get a lot of help and improve myself by listening to advice. It wasn't difficult, but I was surprised because I had good basic skills," adding, "I was so happy about the call-up. I told my family and they were all happy."

Samuel said, "They are all players I saw when I was a ball boy. Jin-su is good at everything, and Sun-min is good at speed and ceremony. It was amazing that we trained together."
Samuel said that he is similar to Doku who plays for Manchester City. Samuel said, "I have explosive speed. I was very influenced by Doku. His short but fast steps and his body are similar."
